Once again Minnesota weather throws a curve our way. I’m watching as a steady
rain falls and puddles grow in our driveway. They say snow is coming later today.
But the deer don’t seem to mind the rain. We had ten deer walk through our yard
so far this morning. Below is a picture of a couple of the deer that are regulars
at our feeder.

We continue to contact people regarding SAM’s purpose in the hopes of raising
the funds we need to remodel White Tail Lodge. We will be speaking at the local
SERTOMA Club soon. We are also trying to reach out to other service clubs in our
area.

We had a fun ride on Sunday. Someone has given SAM a 14′ aluminum fishing
boat, motors, and depth finder. Sunday was the day we brought it home, and let me
tell you, we got plenty of strange looks from people going by. It was a bit odd to
see trailer after trailer filled with snowmobiles, knowing I was pulling a fishing
boat down the road. Kind of funny. We are excited about this gift to SAM because
it will mean a lot of good, safe times, for our guests this spring and summer.
