What’s next?

Hi Everyone,

Well, I guess it was inevitable. It is snowing here on Sam’s land.
As far as I’m concerned, it could have waited until about December 24th.

Things are moving forward here. The latest news involves the remodeling
of the present building so that we would be able to begin helping
hurting people early in 2009. For some time we have wondered how much
remodeling the empty portion of our present building would cost.

This is how the empty side of our current building looks right now. It already has beautiful windows
and fantastic wooden ceilings.

As some of you may know, I’ve been filling in at a church on Sundays for some time now. While there I
met a contractor that I had know years ago. While talking about SAM he mentioned he would be interested
in giving me a bid on remodeling the current building.

Long story, short, the contractor came and looked over things and has presented SAM with a bid of $10,000.
This would be the cost of the materials only. But the contractor felt confident that he could get one or two
work crews to come up and help with the actual building for nothing.

So here we sit in a sense. We now know that for just $10,000 we can begin helping people on site. But in these
tough economic times, $10,000 is a lot of money to raise.

So Judy and I are asking you to consider helping out by donating to this project. Please spread the word
about SAM. Invite your friends to join you in supporting us too.

We want to thank our many friends who have become monthly donors to SAM. We couldn’t do what
we’re doing now without you guys. So thanks so much. God bless - and remember, we love you guys.
